More Than Just a Meal
What began as a simple breakfast program has grown into a comprehensive ministry. Every Saturday morning at Grace Place, over 25 volunteers gather to serve not just food—but hope, dignity, and a connection to vital services.
Every week, we serve 100 neighbors with hot meals, essential clothing, legal aid, and community in the heart of downtown Chicago.

Hope's Table is sponsored by the First United Methodist Church at the Chicago Temple. We collaborate with local partners to meet physical, legal, and spiritual needs.
Guests receive a meal each week where they can sit and fellowship with one another.
We provide clean seasonal clothing and shoes. New socks and underwear are distributed weekly.
In partnership with pharmacy students from UIC, guests can receive basic health support from checking their blood pressure to learning about ways to stay healthy.
We assist guests in obtaining IDs, establishing mailing addresses, and navigating government agencies.
Mornings begin with optional worship and reflection, fostering a sense of purpose for guests and volunteers alike.
